As part of the Bedan Family, we were invited to join a medical mission by San Beda College in Sitio Pactil, Brgy. Sadsadan, Bauko, Mountain Province. I took the opportunity because I was 1. free that weekend 2. that my friends are coming over too and 3. I want to do something meaningful with my life.
It was like a reunion of sorts because my former professors and upperclassmen were there too. Medyo nakakapanibago because they were already treating us as colleagues but I still feel like I'm their student. Haha. I also got to meet the clerks (a.k.a. Kiddielets), along with students and faculty from other colleges.
Who knew that even if it was work, I can tick items off my bucket list. Mrhrhr.

Me at Halsema Highway. Seeing the highest point of the Philippine Highway System: DONE |
As soon as we arrived, we freshened up a bit then went to Sitio Pactil for an ocular survey. We were told by Father that Sitio Pactil was tagged as "mini-Switzerland" by Swiss visitors who once went to the area. I've never been to Switzerland so that sounded like a treat to me. As we went around the area, this is what we saw:

Every afternoon there are occasional rain showers, oftentimes followed by fog. According to the locals, rain usually lasts for thirty minutes to one hour. The rain added to the cold and I'm not used to cold weather, my nailbeds turned blue. Sanay kasi sa klimang pang-impyerno eh. Hahaha.

Next day was dedicated for work. I must say that this is the best medical mission that I've ever attended because it was organized in such a way that each sitio was allotted certain hours for consultation so there are no big crowds and distribution of medications were done systematically. And the best part is that those who have work were able to go back to work right after the scheduled time.

The most organized med mission I've ever been to |
The event was a success and the organizers were very happy about it. Bilin din daw kasi ang med mission na ito ni Father Aloy, the Rector-President of San Beda College. Father Epoy, one of the Bedan monks in charge of the event even cooked for us. Na-amaze ako sa cooking skills ni Father. Hehe.
Ang saya lang ng med mission na ito kasi para kaming isang malaking pamilya. Ang sarap maging Bedista.
