I'd Go Anywhere For You

You are my fire...the one desire.
-sabi ko sa Backstreet Boys in Manila ticket

OH YAAAAAASSSS!

I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR THE LONGEST TIME. HUHUHUHU. Panic ensued when I couldn't access the SM Tickets website last night. I almost teared up while buying these tickets a while ago and the ticket lady at SM had to comment while stifling a laugh "Favorite mo pala talaga sila ma'am." I never knew that this moment would come that I'd get to see all five of them. And that's why it has to have a separate post. Haha.

I think I have to prepare 100 rolls of tissue paper because I'm about to tear up because of the extreme Backstreet Boys splendor on May 5.

Psychoanalyzing A Broken Heart

A week ago, I received news that someone, whom I'd like to call Aspy, has been blaming me for all the misfortunes of his messed up love life. One of the things that struck me is when he said, "Konti na lang, papatulan ko na siya (referring to me)". And I'm like, "Koya, what are you going to do to me? Pull my hair? Call me names? Make up stories about me? You don't even have proof that I was defaming you."

For a guy nearing the end of his early adulthood, I was expecting a civilized confrontation. Unfortunately, what he did has got to be the most juvenile thing that a grown (or partially grown) man can do because only 10 year old kids respond in such a way.

When I first heard the news, I got frustrated by his remark that I wanted to come up to him and slap the stupid out his face because I hate stupid arguments. But then I realized that he might cry and drown me in his tears. There's no freaking way that I'm swimming in that. LOL.

A few people who knows the sordid tale of Aspy's love life resorted to psychoanalysis. Since I also like to psychoanalyze because it justifies my need to "understand where people are coming from", I was open to their opinions.

MMA Koya gives his two cents, "He knows he's at fault at what happened between you two and he couldn't accept it. Nasaktan yun kaya nagputa para hindi halataTangina, bakit ba mo ba kasi iniwan? Nawalan tuloy ng direksyon ang buhay nya simula ng iniwan mo kaya ayan, ikaw ang nasisisi *laughs like a hyena on crack*"

"You're the one that got away kaya sya nagpuputa at nagpapapansin ng ganyan," Snow White said.

Sosy Boy Senior says, in verbatim, "You broke his heart when you left him but he wants you back. However, he doesn't have the balls to tell you that he wants you back so he resorted to this lowblow. Yun nga lang, it was his fault so he deserves this somehow."

"Iniwan mo kasi kaya siya nagkakaganyan. HAHAHAHAHAHA," contributed Sosy Boy Junior.

Well even if it was me to begin with, he should get his act together and get his head out of his ass and stop being such a pussy. And with that, I dedicate this song to Aspy, who seems to be stuck in an emotional rut. His attitude is an important example for psychoanalysis that's why he deserves a blog post from me so that everyone will know how NOT to act when you're a 30 year old guy.

The Beki Is Now A Lady

News Flash: May nagbigay sa akin ng flowers ngayong Valentine's Day. And mind you, this is not the "charity flowers" I usually get from my male friends because they don't want me to feel insignificant during this capitalist-driven day. If you have known me from my entire adolescent and the 2/3 of my early adulthood, I never received flowers with some underlying maharot intentions. Tangina, loser eh, no? Haha. Just imagine my surprise when I got these:

At dahil dyan, this deserves its own post. Walang basagan ng trip, plz. Milestone to! Di pala ako mukhang lalaki. Hahaha.

Because the beki is now a lady. Lawlsss.

Yun lang naman. As one of my friends puts it, "dalaga na si nene". Haha.

Ang Carinderia Ni Doc KC

Since the BIR's new directive drew flak from netizens and the involved professionals, I decided to protest through poking fun at it by making a list:

Kasi naman magmumukhang carinderia ang mga clinic pag natuloy ang gusto nilang mangyari. Carinderiang may menu ang kalalabasan kung ililista ko lahat. Kaya ayan tinuloy ko na, nilagyan ko na rin ng pagkain para naman di nakakahiya sa kanila. Haha. DAWORST.

I Should Write A Book

When I was in med school, I take "trans making" seriously because it serves as my means of studying that particular topic. Not only that, I hate disorganized notes with bullets that go to various directions, too large font sizes, wide spaces and outdated information (OC ALERT!). I opted to make my own trans because I can't afford to be distracted by disorganization-related anxiety. My friends also did the same because there was no formal arrangement for a trans committee for our class. So one day, we connived and the Boastful Trans committee was born.

Our trans committee was so efficient that at some point, it was the subject of ridicule and personal attacks. The Boastful Transcriptions also got passed on to the next batch. I didn't mind it at first but it pissed me off that people had the nerve to write my name off from it. CHARRR! Haha.

Anyway, that was all in the past and I just focused on the now. Having graduated from med school, it makes me glad to hear that my trans (especially my Legal med series) helped a lot of students.

Recently, I got a message from a school mate and there I found out that my trans are now known as the "KC Trans"

So I can't help but laugh at the KC Trans thing.

And this school mate of mine knows how it should be. I'm so proud! *single tear*:

I've read about the legendary IM Platinum: The Official Aherrera Notes and the Fatty Liver of Dr Katherine Lei, Dr Willy Liangco and Dr Janus Ong so in a surfeit of ambitiousness, I thought:

LELSSSSS

Now where's my chlorpromazine injection because I'm starting to think a little loco again. Hahaha.

To The Guys Who Pointed A Gun At My Head and Took Our Stuff...

I hope you guys are having a swell time using the money you earned from selling our stuff at a cheap price. It was pretty nifty, organizing a heist then you guys scare us shitless, forcing us to give you our valuables so you won't blast our heads to pieces then running off with your loot. Genius. Absolute genius.

I have no idea on what your motives are but I'm sure it's rooted in money. Why don't you dipshits get a decent job? At least what you're feeding your family or yourselves do not come from dirty money.

Just so you know, what you took from me is worth more than what you think. Everything has sentimental value to me because those were given by people who are dear to me. Not only that you wiped out my sense of security that I was too scared to even come for duty. In short, you took away my peace of mind, you cunts!

Oh look, it's written in the stars!

I swear you guys will freaking rot in jail. Oh yes you will.

The Formal Level Up Launch

This neurotic medical student now went up a notch in the hospital "food chain". I am now the neurotic medical intern.

Although things didn't work out quite well with my Teenage Dream, I don't feel any regret in choosing Quirino for my internship because I acquire the knowledge and skills along with the fact that I have time for myself.

ZOMG. I was friendzoned. ROTFLOL.

Kbye.

Dear Teenage Dream

This is actually a long overdue post that was dated April 14, 2013. I recently came across it since I looked over my old posts when I felt like blogging again. It shows my neurotic and almost obsessive intent in having my medical internship in Philippine General Hospital. I'm going to share it just for lulz.

Dear Teenage Dream,

Ilang araw na lang, magkakalaaman na tayo. Wag mo naman akong i-friendzone because if you do, you'll break my heart again. Not once, but twice.

I always and truly believe that we are MEN-2B. Hehe.

Love,
Ambisyosang Bullfrog
(ribbit, ribbit!)

Reading through this made me snort with hysterical hyena-like laughter. I am sooooo lame. Kbye.

I'm Allowed To Introspect So Here's What I Have To Say

It was in 2006, when I was in third year college, that I actually thought of entering med school. However, there were too many setbacks so my plans of going to med school took a backseat. But that didn't stop me.

Four years of med school was one heck of a journey. The word difficult is an understatement. I've experienced ups and downs but either way, I'm still thankful for it because it helped me to push myself to do greater things. Despite many difficulties, I kept going because I know that this is what I wanted to do. It also helped that I met great friends along the way because they helped me see fun in what we do and they manage to set my perspective right.

That being said, this is for my parents, family, and friends. Thank you so much for believing in me and for always being around to support me be it personally or virtually. For the negatrons and those who said I cannot do it, thank you for giving me an extra challenge because it motivated me to work harder to reach this goal.

Just as a viral Facebook post says, I also want to acknowledge all students who took the removals, failed exams, lost motivation to continue studying, got ostracized for defying the norms and those who felt physically and emotionally exhausted to the point of quitting. I was there and I know exactly how you feel.

Med student KC, now signing off.

Why The Bangs?

A couple of months ago, I got bored with my hair and decided to get full bangs again. A lot of my friends and classmates asked me what was the reason behind why I suddenly got the fringe. I often say that it is K-pop inspired but the real reason behind it is to cover the nasty poknat on my hairline that was the result of changing my hair part from the center to the side.

Observe:

Me no gusta!

Not to mention, I look washed out so I need something to make me look fresh and youthful. Lels. So I thought about my old pre-school photos and the Korean actresses I often see so I decided to snip my hair and voila!

Seems legit

Although the eyebags ruin the supposed "freshness" and "youthfulness", I must say that:

Whenever I pin it up, people would comment, "O, nasaan na ang bangs mo?". So now, I'm not sure if it has been my trademark or my bangs just began to have a life of their own. Mrhrhr. But since I can feel the raging inferno of IM, I'm going to grow it out for the time being. Anyway, the poknat has been reduced to a favorable size so it'll do for now.

Your Mascara Reports For Double Duty

Being a totally frugal beeyotch, I look for items that has multiple uses. Sometimes I look beyond the item's conventional use in order to stretch my hard earned peso (believe me, it's hard to ask for money when you're still a student at 26 years old). When my brain is too fried in the scalding cooking oil that is medicine, I rarely get creative so I have to check the trusty old Google search for ideas.

Pinterest is a great place to look for these ideas and I have been a pinner for quite some time now. One of my favorite pinners is The Beauty Department because that's where I get beauty tutorials. Not only that they also share tips about stretching your make-up's use. There's this pin that I was so thrilled about that I felt the need to share this:

Swell stuff

I tried it on using my trusty Etude House slanted eyeliner brush. Though I didn't apply mascara on my lashes, it did look ok. It has the consistency of a cream eyeliner, similar to the one I saw in Bloom at Beauty Bar. Since I still have a tube of mascara, looks like I won't be buying liquid eyeliner anytime soon. Woohoo! More for the Wanderlust Fund. Hrhr.

I'm a make-up noob. Please bear with me.

For more amazing tips and ninja make-up skills, you can visit The Beauty Department's official site or check out their Pinterest page.

EDIT: I must be that high because it's the first time I shared a make-up tip. Lol.
