Why The Bangs?

A couple of months ago, I got bored with my hair and decided to get full bangs again. A lot of my friends and classmates asked me what was the reason behind why I suddenly got the fringe. I often say that it is K-pop inspired but the real reason behind it is to cover the nasty poknat on my hairline that was the result of changing my hair part from the center to the side.

Observe:

Me no gusta!

Not to mention, I look washed out so I need something to make me look fresh and youthful. Lels. So I thought about my old pre-school photos and the Korean actresses I often see so I decided to snip my hair and voila!

Seems legit

Although the eyebags ruin the supposed "freshness" and "youthfulness", I must say that:

Whenever I pin it up, people would comment, "O, nasaan na ang bangs mo?". So now, I'm not sure if it has been my trademark or my bangs just began to have a life of their own. Mrhrhr. But since I can feel the raging inferno of IM, I'm going to grow it out for the time being. Anyway, the poknat has been reduced to a favorable size so it'll do for now.

Your Mascara Reports For Double Duty

Being a totally frugal beeyotch, I look for items that has multiple uses. Sometimes I look beyond the item's conventional use in order to stretch my hard earned peso (believe me, it's hard to ask for money when you're still a student at 26 years old). When my brain is too fried in the scalding cooking oil that is medicine, I rarely get creative so I have to check the trusty old Google search for ideas.

Pinterest is a great place to look for these ideas and I have been a pinner for quite some time now. One of my favorite pinners is The Beauty Department because that's where I get beauty tutorials. Not only that they also share tips about stretching your make-up's use. There's this pin that I was so thrilled about that I felt the need to share this:

Swell stuff

I tried it on using my trusty Etude House slanted eyeliner brush. Though I didn't apply mascara on my lashes, it did look ok. It has the consistency of a cream eyeliner, similar to the one I saw in Bloom at Beauty Bar. Since I still have a tube of mascara, looks like I won't be buying liquid eyeliner anytime soon. Woohoo! More for the Wanderlust Fund. Hrhr.

I'm a make-up noob. Please bear with me.

For more amazing tips and ninja make-up skills, you can visit The Beauty Department's official site or check out their Pinterest page.

EDIT: I must be that high because it's the first time I shared a make-up tip. Lol.

Ayala Triangle Gardens

Although I like to roam around the metro, I don't like huge crowds so even if I really want to go to a place, just the thought of a crowded area discourages me not to go. But Ayala Triangle is an exception. Well, it took me a lot of willpower to drag my fat arse there on Christmas time but it was worth it. I went there with my sister, Charmaine and my Mommy.

The lights are just so pretty!
My sister and my mom, right there

My mom was so thrilled to see the lights. The Lights and Sounds show start from 6-9 PM and it runs every 30 minutes. Too bad it was raining when we were there and the show got cancelled.

More lights!

We just went to the Convergys Christmas tree to have our pictures taken. Honestly, I've never been there so I don't know what other attractions are there. I was relieved to find restaurants and I was thrilled to find a Wee Nam Kee branch there. I'm definitely going back.

Me and Mommy

Despite the hullabaloo, there are other places in the Gardens that have lights that are as pretty as those in Ayala Triangle Gardens. You just need to walk around and appreciate the surroundings. Not to mention, I didn't even notice the crowd.

We were supposed to take my grandmother there but my dad is in his kontra-bulate mode so it's such a waste that Mama did't get to see the lights. There's always next year. :)

Another Greeting...Though Late

Goodbye 2012 and hello 2013!

The past year has been full of challenges but I successfully hurdled the obstacles that came my way. Despite that, it made me a better person. Now I'm looking forward to what 2013 has to offer. If there would be more challenges, I'd be proud to put on my game face and say, "BRING IT ON".

Happy New Year everyone! :)
